About Park City
Long before Park City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, this world-class ski town played host to silver miners. Now more famous for mining snow, Park City features three world-class ski resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, The Canyons Resort, and Deer Valley Resort. 8,550 acres of famous Utah powder is spread between the three resorts.
Park City is a winter playground- and not just because of the snow. For ten days, every January, Hollywood converges upon Park City for the Sundance Film Festival. Founded by Robert Redford, the Sundance Film Festival is dedicated to the development of artists of independent vision and the exhibition of their new work. That work is displayed throughout Park City's many theatre venues each year.
While Park City's breathtaking mountain setting offers some of the best winter activities in the world, in the warmer months there's over 350 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Park City also offers unspoiled rivers and lakes for fishing and rafting, and features talent from around the world at its summer-long music and arts festivals.
Our 350 inches of annual light, dry powder, abundance of year-round recreation, and historically quaint setting aren't the only reasons visitors flock to Park City every year. They also come because this is one of the most accessible ski resorts in the world, just 35 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport, which features direct flights daily from hundreds of cities. Park City is easy to get to, and once you're here- your days and nights are filled with unforgettable experiences.
