San Diego has finally taken its place among the dining capitals of the country. Award-winning restaurants along with some of the region's top culinary talents have been featured in recent years in Food and Wine, Gourmet, Food Arts and The New York Times. Cuisine from around the globe abounds with Indian curries, Brazilian barbeques, Japanese finger rolls, and fettuccini pomodoro all competing for the heart (and stomach) of San Diego. San Diego's Restaurant Week, held in January, is an exposition of exquisite dining as restaurants form all over San Diego offer prix-fixe menus. No coupons or tickets are necessary, but guests are strongly urged to make reservations.
